Does the trial auto-convert?: No. We never ask for a card to start the trial, so there is nothing to charge. On day eight your account is paywalled until you choose a plan. Nothing is billed automatically, ever.
What happens to my work if I do not subscribe?: It stays. Estimates and saved searches are kept and come back the moment you subscribe. You can also export to CSV before the trial ends.
Where does the data come from?: IDOT’s Pay Item Report with Awarded Prices, 2003 to present, and ISTHA bid tabulations. Both are public records. We load each new letting within a week of publication.
Are these awarded prices or all bids?: Awarded. Since 2023 IDOT publishes a row per bidder, and only one of them won — we keep the losing bids out of every average, because the low bid is not always the one that took the job.
Do you cover states other than Illinois?: Price history is IDOT and ISTHA today. Regional factors carry any Illinois price to any state, which is what most people need. Raw award data from other DOTs is on the roadmap.
